KRAYMON ‘NEEDY’ + WASCAL REMIX

This is Louse Record’s fourth release. And it demands your attention. Kraymon’s ‘Needy sits somewhere around the Techno end of Dubstep and follows the same Bristol-based format as the label’s inaugural release, with another classic remix by Wascal.

The original’s alluring “Be With Me!” vocal provides a captivating focus that’s augmented with a weighty electronic workout, skittering beats and a swirling atmosphere, all wrapped up in one huge, warm, subby bass.

Wascal heads out on a Future Garage tip, stepping it up with his trademark intricate percussion, which contrasts beautifully with the hypnotising feel of the original.

Release date: 15th September 2011

KLOUDBREAK ‘THE RIVER’
+ MOTHBOY & KRAYMON REMIXES

Number two is ‘The River’ by Bristol duo Kloudbreak: get lost in the mountain of sound, decorated with seductive vocals that flow effortlessly through the bass. From its humble beginnings, the tune builds and morphs into a twisting wall of sound. Unique, and full of bass.

And then we come to the remixes where the river flows a little faster. Kraymon flexes his future bass muscles, redirecting ‘The River’ into serious dance floor territory while using the vocals to full effect in the bass driven breakdown. Mothboy provides the second remix by stripping it back, layering garage beats and giving it a raw edge that contrasts beautifully with the mesmerising vocals.

Release date: 11th October 2010
